Builtog - Passive house

Equator Stockholm is working on, within the European project Builtog ("building together"), to realize a passive house residential project in Stockholm containing 14 apartments for client Familjebostäder.

Builtog is initiated by the European Housing Network, www.eurhonet.eu, which has developed a residential concept by Nicolas Michelin Ark. (France), with Luwoge (Germany) as an energy consultant.

Several members of the Eurhonet network will build the same type of building and Eurhonet will monitor the results. Familjebostäders building will be adapted to Swedish conditions, but also follow PHPP's standards, according to Germany's Passivhaus Institut.

Liljeholmen Centrum

The Liljeholmen district is close to the city center and public transportation decreasing dependency on cars.  Commerce, housings, offices and underground parking are built on a small area making efficient use of a difficult site. The project is LEED platinum certified (the highest level).

Johnson & Johnson Nordic HQ

The project follows Johnson & Johnsons’ guidelines for environmentally friendly buildings. We employ innovative technical solutions such as green sedum roof for treatment of storm water and energy efficient VAV ventilation. An analysis of the feasibility for storage of geothermic energy is underway and nearby parking will be offered for green and hybrid cars. The goal is to be certified as Green Building and LEED Silver.

Norra Djurgårdsstaden

This new district is selected as one of two places in Europe that is included in the CCI, Clinton Climate Initiative and the City of Stockholm’s goal is that the district shall be an international role model for sustainable city building.  Equator’s two blocks maintain environmentally friendly solutions such as a central garbage suction system for different fractions and every flat has their own garbage disposal from which energy is extracted in the form of methane gas.

Housings Täby Centrum, Attundafältet

We have had a common focus with our client on our shared environmental responsibility from the project’s beginning. This has made it easy to incorporate new, effective energy solutions and led to the achievement of long term economical goals. The flats will have solar panels that will contribute to heating tap water, recycled rain water and energy consumption 35 % less than the building norm.

Klara Zenit, mixed use

By building a roof landscape with housing on an existing building with stores and offices no new land needs to be exploited.  Heating for the dwellings and even for melting snow from outdoor hardscaped areas is taken from surplus heat from the stores and offices. The housing has a ventilated facade with an organic cladding product requiring no maintenance and was built with a light construction technique minimizing transport and freight.

Hammarby Sjöstad

Equator has designed two neighborhood blocks in Hammarby Sjöstad: Kv. Brädgården och Konvojen. The district has a comprehensive environmental concept from planning to management and has received several international awards hosting a constant stream of visitors from all over the world. Focus has been placed on, among other issues, new integrated solutions for deliveries, waste management and energy.
